Project Re-Nest

ARC was transferred this branching owlet from another rehab to find foster placement for him as his original nest site was not an option.

When we get in baby raptors and we’ve explored all options to keep them with their parents we move to step two, where we rely on our “Project Re-Nest” volunteers to find a suitable foster nest. Our volunteer @sonoransavannah has been monitoring a number of GHO nests around Tucson and thanks to her hard work we had this individual placed with in an hour of the transfer.

Upon placement we were able to observe him vocalizing with the parents and the property owner is sending evening updates of his activities.
