A face only a mother could love. This baby burrowing owl was patiently waiting for mom or dad to come back with a meal.
Did you know that a burrowing owls clutch of eggs can contain as many as 12 eggs? Juveniles are ready to walk around outside the burrow at two weeks but will not leave the nest for about six weeks.
Majestic.
Majesty has to start somewhere! They’re all always cute to me. I always love a bald molting Screech Owl, for example, my girl Weird Alice here that I have visited a few times.
I know that feeling blud.
It’s a hard knock life.
